It seems like popular show host James Corden needs a break too! The host has recently announced that he will be leaving The Late Late Show in 2023! James Corden reportedly plans to spend more time back in the UK, and he might be enjoying some quality family time with his wife, Jules, and three children, Max, Carey, and Charlotte.
James Corden kick-started his hosting gig at the US weeknight show back in 2015 and soon gathered around a lot of fan base for himself as viewers loved his viral Carpool Karaoke segments in which he sang along with several stars, including Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga. The host also starred in movies, including Peter Rabbit and The Prom. The host has opened up about his interest in exploring other sides of entertainment, including writing.
James Corden Opens Up About His Exit From The Show!
The host had earlier teased the possibility of his exit as he stated that he honestly did not know if he would renew his contract and also admitted that he never really saw this job as a final destination. The host explained how he almost saw it as a stop on a journey. He further took the opportunity to praise his team at CBS, who all have been incredibly supportive and extraordinarily patient with him while he made this decision. The president and CEO of CBS have also issued an official statement that said how seven years ago, James Corden came to the US and took television by storm with his huge “creative and comedic swings that resonated in a big way with viewers on-air and online.”
Now, after a successful run, the host is going to leave the CBS show, which he signed onto for an extra year, but will exit in spring 2023 after reaching a whopping 1250 episodes. Corden admitted that it was indeed a really hard decision to leave because he is so very proud of the show. However, he has been thinking about it for a long time, thinking about whether there might be one more adventure.
