As she welcomed her two former collaborators on stage, fans were also treated to a brand new unreleased song as well! The singer and rapper were joined by Rico Nasty as they performed Tia Tamera, which is a single taken from the deluxe version of Doja’s debut album ‘Amala’.
Later, the songstress was joined, and they performed the remix version of ‘Juicy,’ which was featured on Doja’s 2019 second album Hot Pink. Doja Cat also surprised fans with the new “Hound Dog”–interpolating song Vegas. The song is all set to appear in Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis.
Doja Cat’s Performance Was Applauded By The Crowd!
The performance was full of surprises as the songstress also announced that the Mexican pizza was returning at the end of her song. This announcement is a reference to her love of the discontinued Taco Bell menu item. The popular item was previously discontinued back in 2020. The singer’s love for the food item led the company to reach out to Doja, and their partnership with Taco Bell continued for a long time. Doja Cat even shared a funny verse about the Mexican Pizza on TikTok that she later revealed was contractual between her and the company giant. Doja Cat’s Coachella performance was highly applauded by the crowd and on social media as well. One user pointed out that no one is doing it like Doja Cat, further adding his she is constantly raising the bar for the standard of her performances. The Grammy-winning singer’s performance came weeks after she made a big announcement about retiring from music.
However, she might not be doing that anytime soon as there are some tours ahead. She will be joining The Weeknd, who will perform this July in support of his most recent album ‘Dawn FM,’ which came out in January. The artist will reportedly be joined by Doja Cat.
