Popular artist Danny Elfman performed at Coachella 2022 as the crowd cheered on! He gave fans a visual treat as he performed a rock rendition of the theme song for The Simpsons! The composer surely managed to take everyone by surprise! Elfman earlier opened up about performing mismatching pieces jammed together in construction that logically makes no sense whatsoever, further admitting that when he does performances, he likes to jam it all together.
While the stage was completely packed, the musician’s unique set included songs by his new wave band Oingo Boingo, which consisted of a few single tracks along with some of his most famous film and TV themes that came as a pleasant surprise to fans! Elfman also created history by becoming the oldest artist playing at Coachella 2022!

His best-known work is the theme tune for the iconic animated series The Simpsons. The theme song came in the middle of the 19-track set. Danny Elfman managed to set the stage on fire as he performed shirtless while putting forth a rock version of the animated sitcom’s theme with a full orchestra. Not only that, but the crowd got to hear another tune from Batman, Spider-Man, and Alice In Wonderland. Elfman also performed songs from Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas as well.
Danny Elfman has been a frequent collaborator with the director Sam Raimi and has worked in several superhero flicks. While talking about the Doctor Strange project, the musician opened up about it last year, revealing how he did start to do bits of pre-work for Doctor Strange 2 that Sam Raimi’s directing. He further added that even though he didn’t do it for some months, there are bits of recorded music they need for the sets.
