Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is setting new records and breaking some others. The fans of the franchise have been waiting with bated breath for the third installment. Director James Gunn recently posted a photo-gone-wrong of him with Poulter’s Warlock. However, nothing in the photo’s blurry mess, which Gunn claimed was accidental, is visible at all. Gunn keeps feeding the fans with BTS and other trivia about the movies he’s worked on. Yesterday, Gunn took to his Twitter to announce a thrilling bit of new development about the GOTG3 production. He later shared the exciting news on his Instagram story as well.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has officially broken the record for creating the most makeup appliances for a single movie production. Sharing the news on Twitter, Gunn wrote, “Just heard from our makeup folks at @LegacyEffects that yesterday #GotGVol3 officially passed the World Record for “the most makeup appliances created for a single production” (surpassing The Grinch). Congrats, guys! Thanks for keeping practical effects alive!”
Legacy Effects also worked on the marvelous practical makeup effects for Gunn’s DC blockbuster ‘The Suicide Squad.’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is set to release on May 23, 2023.
