Comedian Tony Rock came in his brother’s defense after Chris Rock was slapped in this year’s Oscars by actor Will Smith. Tony Rock talked about the entire incident as he recently performed standup at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. This stop was a part of his “No Remorse” comedy tour. While the comedian expressed his anger on the issue, he surely did not hold back while talking about the controversial outburst.
Tony Rock was surely not having it and called Will Smith out on his actions. The popular comedian went on to say that it was not right to just hit someone just because his wife gave him the side-eye. Other than Tony Rock, even renowned actor Carrey earlier called Smith out and even stated that he would have sued Will for what he did on stage.

Tony Rock also stated that he is waiting for Smith to talk directly to his brother and family after it was Smith’s relationship with the comedian was pointed out by a fan over the years. Even Chris Rock has finally broken his silence over the matter and admitted that he is still processing what happened and further added that he would probably talk about what happened at some point in a serious manner. The slap controversy has surely gone out of hand as Will Smith recently declared his resignation from the Academy. The actor has apologized to the board while taking this drastic decision after what happened on this stage in this year’s Oscars.
The actor has further issued an official statement stating that he wants to put all the focus back on those who deserve attention for their achievements.
