Haley Joel Osment, the actor best known for his role in The Sixth Sense, was arrested at a ski resort in Mammoth Lakes, California, on April 8, 2025, following an incident involving alleged public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.
The arrest occurred at the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, where police responded to a call about Osment’s “unruly conduct” around 2 p.m. local time.
According to sources, Osment was booked for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance, with initial reports indicating that the substance is presumed to be cocaine, though the results of the test are still pending.

The Mono County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Osment was arrested by the Mammoth Lakes Police Department, with his mugshot being released afterward.
A police representative confirmed that Osment was released after being booked and was no longer in custody. The Mono County District Attorney’s Office has yet to announce whether Osment will face formal charges.
This arrest is not the first legal trouble for the actor. In 2018, Osment had a public altercation at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.

In 2006, he was also involved in a drunk driving incident at the age of 18, where he was charged and later sentenced to probation.
