Despite these hardships, Rudo lived with his foster father, Legto, who raised him with kindness. Though life was tough, Rudo used his incredible physical abilities to survive, making a living by collecting useful items discarded by the upper class.
Rudo despised the wastefulness of the wealthy and often ignored warnings from others as he searched through their garbage. The most feared place of all was the Abyss—a massive pit where unwanted things were thrown away, including people. Rudo knew this pain firsthand, as his biological father had been cast into the Abyss after being accused of murder.
One fateful day, Rudo encountered a strange figure while returning home. When he arrived, he found Legto lying on the floor, bleeding and barely alive. Before he could process what had happened, the authorities arrived and immediately arrested him for the crime. No one listened to his pleas of innocence. Just like his father before him, Rudo was branded a murderer and thrown into the Abyss.
Gachiakuta Plot
Rudo expected to die upon hitting the bottom, but instead, he found himself in a nightmarish world. The Abyss was not just a pit of discarded objects—it was home to terrifying creatures made of trash. These monstrous beings attacked him, and with no way to fight back, Rudo was on the brink of death.
At that moment, a mysterious man named Engine appeared and saved him. Engine introduced himself as a “janitor,” a warrior who used special weapons called “jinkis” to battle the creatures of the Abyss. He explained that the Abyss was filled with dangers unknown to those living above and that survival required strength, skill, and the right tools.
Desperate for revenge against the person who truly killed Legto, Rudo made a decision. If he wanted to escape the Abyss and clear his name, he would have to fight. With no other choice, he agreed to become a janitor, learning how to wield a jinki and battle the monsters of the Abyss.
As Rudo took his first steps on this dangerous new path, he knew his journey would not be easy. But he refused to give up. To uncover the truth, reclaim his life, and bring justice to Legto’s killer, he would fight his way back to the surface—no matter the cost.
