The upcoming Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter anime officially announced a July 2025 release window. The news came via a teaser promotional video, which also confirmed that new character and cast announcements will be made every Sunday for four consecutive weeks starting on April 6, 2025, in Japan. Fans are already looking forward to more details as the release date approaches.
The teaser also highlighted the main cast, which includes Yuto Uemura in the lead role as Allen. Uemura is well-known for voicing Atsushi Nakajima in Bungo Stray Dogs and Thorfinn Thorsson in Vinland Saga, making his involvement in this series a major draw for anime fans.
Cast and Character Details

Yuto Uemura is joined by Hime Sawada as Tina, Kyoka Moriya as Elly, and Ikumi Hasegawa as Lydia. Sawada is known for her role as Cecilia in Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence, Moriya for voicing Hemo Midori in Dropout Idol Fruit Tart, and Hasegawa for her work as Kotoha Tachibana in Wind Breaker. The teaser trailer gave fans a glimpse of these characters in action, hinting at the complex relationships and storylines that will unfold in the series.
Additionally, a new character visual was released, revealing the designs of four upcoming characters. Their matching outfits suggest that they may belong to the same group, which could play a significant role in the story. More information about these characters will be revealed throughout April 2025 during the weekly announcements.
Production Team and Creative Background

The anime is directed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama at Studio Blanc, with Kazuya Ishiguri serving as assistant director. Megumi Shimizu is supervising the script, while Akiko Toyoda is in charge of character design. Kei Haneoka has been brought on to compose the music. Details about the series’ opening and ending themes, as well as its streaming platform, have not yet been disclosed.
Other key staff members include Sayaka Takemoto for sub-character design, Chousuke Ooide for prop design, and Natsumi Yamada for costume design. Background art is being handled by Junko Nagasawa, with Yoshimi Umino as art director. The series is based on the light novel of the same name written by Riku Nanano and illustrated by Cura. The light novel, which started in December 2018, was adapted from Nanano’s original web novel that debuted in October 2017. Both the web novel and light novel are ongoing. A manga adaptation by Tamura Muto, published by Kadokawa, began in September 2019 and remains active today.
