Ghost Adventures star Aaron Goodwin has officially filed for divorce from his wife, Victoria Goodwin, following her shocking arrest for an alleged murder-for-hire plot to have him killed.
The chilling case has sent waves through the paranormal community and beyond, turning what was once a celebrated love story into a real-life horror show.
A Marriage Haunted by Dark Secrets
On March 12, 2025, Aaron, 48, submitted a complaint for divorce in Clark County, Nevada, citing irreconcilable differences.
According to court documents obtained, Aaron stated that the couple’s “views, tastes, likes, and dislikes have become incompatible to the extent that it has become impossible for them to live together in marital harmony.”

The filing further declares that there is “no possibility of reconciliation.”
The couple, who had been married since August 2022, originally planned their wedding for May 4, 2020, but delayed their nuptials.
Their fairytale wedding at Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion now stands in eerie contrast to the grim reality of their impending divorce.

Murder-for-Hire: Victoria’s Disturbing Alleged Plot
Just six days before Aaron filed for divorce, Victoria, 32, was arrested on March 6 and charged with soliciting to commit murder and conspiring to commit murder. Authorities allege that she attempted to hire an inmate in a Florida prison to carry out the hit.
According to TMZ, investigators discovered incriminating messages between Victoria and the unidentified inmate.
The most disturbing revelation? She allegedly provided the inmate with Aaron’s exact filming locations and schedule for Ghost Adventures, making it easier to track him down.
Victoria reportedly set aside over $11,500 to fund the assassination and discussed a $2,500 upfront payment. One of her alleged messages read:
“Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”

How Authorities Discovered the Alleged Plot?
The case took a dramatic turn when corrections officers in Florida uncovered a smuggled cellphone being used by the inmate Victoria had been communicating with. Upon investigating the device, police allegedly found detailed plans related to Aaron’s murder.
Victoria, however, has denied wanting her husband dead, insisting to authorities that she was simply “fantasizing about being without him.”
