On January 20th, JYP Entertainment’s new boy group, KickFlip, officially debuted with the release of their first mini-album Flip it, Kick it! and a showcase event at the Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
The group consists of seven talented members: Kyehoon (leader), Amaru, Donghwa, Juwang, Minje, Keiju, and Donghyun.
The group’s name, inspired by the challenging 360-degree skateboarding flip, reflects their ambitious and bold approach to K-pop performances, promising to break away from conventional standards and deliver something fresh.
During their debut showcase, Kyehoon shared his excitement and anticipation for their debut, expressing gratitude for the opportunity after nearly a decade of training. He stated,
“We’ve prepared diligently and will show you good vibes,” urging fans to support them on their journey.
KickFlip’s leader, Kyehoon, was a standout even before his debut. He ranked first in JYP’s 2016 open audition, and after years of rigorous training, he now leads his group into the K-pop scene.
The group has spent the past two years refining their skills and preparing for this major moment.
Fans are now eagerly anticipating KickFlip’s next moves as the group sets to embark on their promotional activities following their debut.
With their debut album Flip it, Kick it! out now, KickFlip is ready to bring new energy to the K-pop landscape, and fans are excited to see what this promising boy group will deliver in the future.
