Ayase Yuu, the son of a famous and gifted actress, has always felt overshadowed by the talent and charisma around him. Unlike his mother, who shines brightly in the spotlight, Yuu sees himself as average at best.
He doesn’t excel in school, sports, or any particular skill, which has often left him feeling inferior. Despite this, he tries to live his life quietly, staying out of the way and avoiding comparisons to his talented mother.
One day, his mother is called away on a long-term assignment, so she arranges for Yuu to live with an old friend of hers. To Yuu’s surprise, he learns that his new home will also be shared by three sisters from his school, each known for their beauty, talent, and unique personalities.
These sisters are admired by everyone at school and seem to be everything that Yuu believes he is not. At first, Yuu feels intimidated, thinking he won’t fit in at all with people so talented and popular. He imagines they’ll look down on him as ordinary and unremarkable, just as he views himself.
Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi Plot
As Yuu begins to live with them, he starts to see a different side of the sisters. He discovers that beneath their polished appearances and natural talents, they each have their own struggles, quirks, and insecurities. The eldest sister, though graceful and poised, worries about the pressure of living up to everyone’s expectations.
The middle sister, known for her academic achievements, feels burdened by the need to always be perfect. And the youngest sister, a talented athlete, secretly fears failure and longs for someone who understands her as a person, not just a star player.
Living together, Yuu realizes that the sisters are more than their talents or appearances. They each have a depth he never expected, and they begin to see Yuu in a new light as well. Despite his modest abilities, they come to appreciate his kindness, sincerity, and the way he treats them as ordinary people, not idols.
Little by little, Yuu’s presence brings comfort and balance to their lives, while they, in turn, help him see that there’s value in who he is beyond comparison to others.
In this unlikely arrangement, Yuu and the sisters form a bond that transcends talent or popularity. Together, they learn from each other’s strengths and weaknesses, proving that true connection comes from understanding, not skill or fame. Through this experience, Yuu gains a new sense of self-worth and friendship, discovering that sometimes, being “ordinary” is what makes him truly special.
