Hyoyeon from Girls’ Generation recently sparked hilarious rumors about being excluded from the group. In a lighthearted conversation, she joked about feeling left out during some of her fellow members’ get-togethers. On September 4, the latest episode of “Hyoyeon Who Buys Us Food Well” aired, featuring a fun chat with Sooyoung, another member of the legendary K-pop group.
During the episode, Hyoyeon revealed that Sooyoung, YoonA, Yuri, and Tiffany are known for being heavy drinkers. Hyoyeon humorously confessed that she often felt left out, accusing the group of excluding her from their wine trips. However, Sooyoung quickly clarified the situation, explaining that Hyoyeon wasn’t in Korea during many of these outings.
Hyoyeon admitted that the other members did invite her, but her busy schedule often prevented her from joining. She jokingly forgot about these invitations until she saw their photos together, sparking her playful frustration. Sooyoung revealed that, on one occasion, she didn’t invite Hyoyeon to YoonA’s birthday celebration, adding fuel to the playful “discord” rumour.
The conversation took a funny turn as Hyoyeon dramatically expressed her frustration, wondering why the group always seemed to hang out without her. Sooyoung defended herself, explaining that organizing a gathering with all eight members was challenging, so it was easier to meet with just four.
Hyoyeon playfully used Seohyun and Taeyeon’s names, pretending they were also curious about the smaller gatherings. In reality, it was Hyoyeon herself who was most interested in why she wasn’t always included. She jokingly accepted the situation, saying, “Okay, have fun without us.”
In Sooyoung’s defence, she clarified that the group always tried to invite everyone, but due to their conflicting schedules, smaller groups would naturally form. Sooyoung reassured Hyoyeon that it was never intentional to exclude anyone. Hyoyeon laughed off the explanation, accepting the reality of being in a large group where schedules don’t always align.
