In today’s television landscape, Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead is a standout character. First introduced in 2010, Andrew Lincoln’s portrayal of Rick began when he woke up from a coma to find a zombie-infested world.
Over nine seasons and a final guest appearance, Rick became the show’s main character, evolving from a terrified survivor to a strong leader. Now, McFarlane Toys is honoring Rick’s journey with a new action figure from Season 5.
This new figure of Rick is well-equipped, featuring a pistol, assault rifle, and machete for all your walker-fighting needs. Dressed in his leather jacket with a rugged, bloody look, it captures Rick’s role as the leader of the Atlanta survivors, showing him ready to protect his loved ones.
The figure is fully poseable with 20 points of articulation and includes a two-sided bookmark themed after The Walking Dead. This collectible, part of a set from the pop culture toy company, costs $19.99 USD.
The figure represents Rick after the battle at Terminus, where Gareth (Andrew J. West) and his group had turned the train station into a fortress. Terminus, once a safe haven for survivors, became a horrifying place as its residents resorted to cannibalism.
Rick’s group, along with Abraham’s (Michael Cudlitz), was captured and prepared for slaughter until Carol (Melissa McBride) intervened. This moment was crucial in bringing the groups together and shaping Rick’s future while offering exciting walker action.
Will Rick Grimes make another appearance?
Andrew Lincoln recently returned to The Walking Dead in the spinoff The Ones Who Live, reuniting with Danai Gurira. The highly anticipated follow-up was a big hit for AMC, marking one of their most successful premieres.
Although this might be the last viewers see of Rick and Michonne for now, as the limited series wrapped up their story neatly, there is still a chance for more in the future.
Lincoln hasn’t ruled out guest appearances with other characters from the series, like Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Daryl (Norman Reedus), or Carol, on their respective shows, Dead City and Daryl Dixon.
