Ctarnidd will be entering its second phase after being pushed to that stage by Sunraku in Shangri-La Frontier Chapter 183. The monotonous and bloodthirsty monster showed no emotion, but it was able to show the ability to communicate with other people. Sunraku didn’t pay much attention to it, but that would change soon as he saw the monster displaying pleasure in their fights.
Ctarnidd made its appearance in the last chapter, a giant tentacle monster using magic circles to have more reach. It first tried to have a conversation with the adventurers, but that changed when one of them picked a sword against him. This was a detail that everyone missed, as all of them had their agenda for not seeing the monster for more than what he was.
Sunraku and others kept attacking the beast only to realize that nothing worked on it, pushing them to the defensive. However, Sunraku noticed something peculiar as he saw the beast take up one of its smaller tentacles after it was severed. The bird head realized that there was something to it that might work in their favor.
The party members focused their attacks on the smaller tentacles after Sunraku’s announcement, giving them a moment of relief as they got the upper hand. The others were starting to get annoyed that the smaller tentacles were spread out. One of the party members used suction skills to bind out all of the smaller ones together, giving the damage dealer a chance to deal with them in one full sweep.
