Get ready, Demon Slayer fans! The fourth season of the anime is off to an exhilarating start, and even with its shorter episode count, anticipation is already building for what’s next.
We’re here to uncover what might be in store for Demon Slayer season 5. With rumors flying, we’ve gathered insights into potential plot developments and release date forecasts to keep you in the loop.
Currently, season 4, which covers the Hashira Training arc, is expected to have at least seven episodes. However, Ufotable has yet to confirm the exact number.
This leaves room for anime-original scenes, much like the season premiere featuring the Serpent Hashira, Obanai Iguro, and the Wind Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa, raiding a demon stronghold. This new scene, showing a peak of the Infinity Castle, was created specifically for the anime.
While season 4’s episode counts mirrors that of season 3, the source material varies significantly. The Swordsmith Village arc in season 3 spanned 30 chapters, whereas the Hashira Training arc has only nine. This arc is pivotal, offering our heroes time for introspection, teamwork, and strategizing against Demon King Muzan Kibutsuji.
The real thrill, however, awaits in the Final Battle arc, divided into two parts. If season 4 touches on the beginning of this arc, fans are in for a thrilling experience. The interval between past seasons has been shortening season 2 came two years after season 1, but seasons 3 and 4 released just a year apart.
Given the fewer chapters to adapt in season 4, the wait for season 5 might be even shorter. Without any movie releases in between, there’s a chance we could see season 5 premiere later this year, especially if season 4 ends by July.
