In the ongoing trial of actor Yoo Ah-in and his friend Choi for violating the Narcotics Control Act, Dr. Oh appeared as a witness, detailing Yoo Ah-in’s medical history and condition. According to Oh’s testimony on May 14th, Yoo Ah-in visited the hospital multiple times with complaints of depression and thoughts of death.
Dr Oh noted in Yoo Ah-in’s medical records that the actor exhibited symptoms of anxiety, weight loss, and increased suicidal thoughts during visits in 2021 and 2022. Oh prescribed medication to alleviate Yoo Ah-in’s anxiety based on these observations.
Yoo Ah-in faces charges of habitual propofol use, illegal possession of sleeping pills, and other drug-related offenses. Prosecutors allege Yoo Ah-in received propofol prescriptions numerous times and illegally obtained sleeping pills.
Yoo Ah-in admitted to marijuana use but denies other allegations, including instructing others to use drugs and evidence destruction.
The trial continues as Yoo Ah-in disputes the charges against him, maintaining his innocence amid the ongoing legal proceedings.
