In a rare public comment, Prince William provided an update on his wife Kate’s health as she undergoes preventive chemotherapy for cancer. Kate’s cancer was discovered after abdominal surgery earlier this year, prompting her to announce her treatment in March.
While she stated she was well at the time, regular updates on her health are not being provided by the couple’s office. Prince William, during a visit to a community hospital on the Isles of Scilly off the coast of Cornwall, confirmed Kate’s progress, saying, “She’s doing well, thank you, yes.”
During his two-day trip to the region, Prince William engaged in various activities, including visiting a site for a homelessness project, spending time with local groups on a beach, and touring a community hospital.
He arrived on the Isles of Scilly by boat, where he interacted with crowds and expressed his family’s disappointment at not being with him.
Prince William also engaged with harbor operators and local business owners on St Mary’s, the largest island in the group, discussing their preparations for the upcoming summer tourist season. Meanwhile, his father, King Charles, continued his public engagements after returning to duties following his cancer diagnosis.
King Charles visited a military training college the previous day, demonstrating the royal family’s commitment to fulfilling their duties despite personal challenges.
While the royal couple maintains privacy regarding Kate’s health, Prince William’s acknowledgment of her progress serves as a gesture of appreciation for the public’s concern and support during this challenging time.
