The YouTube channel for Tsukiuta. franchise put up a video on Friday. It’s a trailer for the Rabbits Kingdom the Movie anime film.
The video gives us a sneak peek into the movie and features the theme song Rabbits Kingdom Versus sung by the in franchise units Six Gravity and Procellarum.
Originally scheduled for a December 2023 release, the film got pushed back to early summer 2024 due to various circumstances.
The team behind the film includes director Masayoshi Ozaki, scriptwriter Ryuichiro Itsumi, storyboard artist Akiko Nakano, chief animation director Taeko Sato, art director Minoru Akiba, original character designer Jiku, and animation studio Studio Sign.
This movie marks the start of the franchise’s 10th anniversary celebrations. It’s based on the fifth stage production, which tells a what-if story set in a mysterious country.
Tsukiuta. THE ANIMATION is a TV show based on a series of CDs that combine music and original drama. It’s all about months personified as characters.
The story focuses on two idol groups: Six Gravity, representing December to May, and Procellarum, made up of idols from Western Japan representing June to November.
The initial season of the TV anime debuted in Japan back in July 2016. Funimation aired it simultaneously with Japan and later released it on Blu-ray Disc in September 2017.
Tsukiuta. THE ANIMATION 2 was supposed to premiere in 2019 but faced delays, finally airing in October 2020 after several postponements. Funimation streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
This anime is just one part of the Tsukino Talent Production (TsukiPro) franchise, which includes various other projects.
