On Thursday, Paramount Pictures streamed a new trailer for “Transformers One,” the animated prequel to the franchise, introduced by stars Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry.
Initially set for September 13, the film’s premiere was rescheduled from its original date of July 19. “Transformers One” explores the dynamic between Optimus Prime and Megatron on Cybertron.
The cast boasts Chris Hemsworth as Optimus Prime, Brian Tyree Henry as Megatron, Scarlett Johansson as Elita, Keegan-Michael Key as Bumblebee, Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime, and Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion.
Executive producers include Steven Spielberg, alongside Brian Goldner, Brian Oliver, Bradley J. Fischer, and Valerii An. Josh Cooley directs the film, written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto, Don Murphy, Michael Bay, Mark Vahradian, and Aaron Dem serve as producers. Meanwhile, “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts,” the inaugural installment of a trilogy in the live-action franchise, premiered in June 2023, following a delay from its original June 2022 release date, later debuting in Japan in August 2023 under the title “Transformers: Beast Kakusei.”
