The Amber Alert issued for a four-month-old boy reportedly abducted by his mother from Langley on Thursday night has been terminated.
Langley RCMP confirmed the child’s recovery and safety. Police received notice before 5 p.m. that the mother brought the child to Langley Memorial Hospital.
Earlier, Langley RCMP expressed deep concern for the boy’s safety at a press conference.
Cpl. Zynal Sharoom stated that the boy’s mother lacked permission to have him, and RCMP had conversed with the child’s father, who was cooperating with authorities.
The mother was suspected of entering a residence in the 7200-block of 2018 and absconding with the boy before departing on foot.
The Langley Serious Crime Unit spearheaded the investigation, with officers canvassing the area and pursuing numerous leads.
The RCMP’s Air 1 and Search and Rescue helicopter aided in the search, alongside search and rescue crews.
RCMP noted that the circumstances surrounding the purported parental abduction were still under investigation.
