Chihiro Rokuhira made a sacrifice, giving up something very dear to him to rescue someone who once saved his life.
Chihiro and Shiba encountered the tough elite guards, the Tou, from the Sazanami group. But when Hinao sent out a distress call, Shiba had to rush to her aid along with Hakuri, leaving Chihiro to deal with the three Tou members alone.
The chapter starts with Hinao tending to the wounded Hakuri. Shiba faces off against Soya Sazanami, Hakuri’s older brother and a member of the Tou group.
Soya shows off the famous Sazanami fighting style to counter Shiba’s teleportation move. He uses a technique called Isou to create shockwaves, which he directs to respond to Shiba’s magical abilities.
The sorcerer realizes that Shiba might be the most powerful among the Sazanami elite guards. But at the same time, he’s concerned about Chihiro Rokuhira, who’s left to confront three Tou members and Kyora Sazanami by himself back at the Sazanami mansion.
Shiba thinks it’s a tough situation, even with Chihiro wielding an Enchanted Blade. He’d feel better if he could teleport there, bringing Soya along, making it a five vs. two fight.
The focus shifts to Chihiro, who uses Nishiki to cloak himself as he faces his opponents. One of the Tou members requests blades from their father, Kyora Sazanami.
Chihiro is taken aback when two swords appear in the hands of the Tou member. He ponders if this ability is linked to the Rakuzaichi vault.
Meanwhile, Kyora Sazanami notices that one of the intruders, Shiba, has escaped. He praises the sorcerer’s teleportation skill and provides his children with more swords.
Recap
Shiba returns to help Chihiro, bringing Soya along with him. Hakuri’s older brother is puzzled by the sudden change in location. He happily informs his father, Kyora, that he has located Hakuri.
This news from Soya clears up all doubts Kyora Sazanami had. He understands that his son, Hakuri, has once again acted as a spy and betrayed their family.
As a result, Kyora demonstrates his sorcery magic to summon Hakuri seemingly out of thin air. It’s disclosed that Kyora Sazanami has the ability to retrieve any item, including his children, that is registered to the spatial vault.
It’s revealed that every member of the Sazanami family is registered to the spatial vault during infancy as part of a ritual.
This practice enables the head of the clan, currently Kyora Sazanami, to safeguard his children from external threats when necessary.
Interestingly, Hakuri was unaware of this crucial fact. The Sazanami leader mockingly questions Chihiro and Shiba whether his son, Hakuri, has been their informant.
Chihiro is disgusted by Kyora for using his own son as a hostage. Meanwhile, Shiba, being pragmatic, understands that Kyora Sazanami might demand the seventh Enchanted Blade in return for Hakuri.
He remembers how Hakuri saved his life by intercepting a blow from Hiyuki. He opts for negotiation, following that it’s revealed that Chihiro has exchanged his Enten blade to Kyora Sazanami in return for Hakuri’s life.
The chapter shifts to the Rakuzaichi vault, where the Sazanami leader celebrates obtaining the seventh Enchanted Blade. He believes that the upcoming auction will be the greatest in Sazanami’s history.
It then shifts to Chihiro’s base, where he arrives with Shiba and Hakuri. The exiled sorcerer breaks down and apologizes to the protagonist for having to give up his blade.
Similarly, Shiba feels guilty about bringing Soya with him to the mansion. However, Chihiro reassures them that nobody is to blame.
Instead, he expresses his satisfaction that things have unfolded as he intended. Kagurabachi Chapter 25 ends with the revelation that Chihiro intentionally gave the Enten blade to Kyora Sazanami.
