Lee Joon is featured in new stills from the upcoming season of “The Escape of the Seven.” The second season, titled “The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection,” continues the narrative of the 2023 drama, depicting the counterattack of seven individuals against new evil forces collaborating with Matthew Lee (Uhm Ki Joon).
In the new season, Lee Joon portrays Min Do Hyuk, who, after discovering the truth about his birth and true identity as the biological son of Sung Chan Group Chairman Shim Yong (Kim Il Woo), harbours a fierce desire for revenge against Matthew Lee.
The Season 1 finale hinted at a new death game in Season 2, following Min Do Hyuk’s narrow escape with the help of Kang Ki Tak (Yoon Tae Young) and Lee Hwi So (Min Young Ki).
The released stills showcase Min Do Hyuk’s transformed demeanour, displaying a pristine appearance and a solemn expression as he gazes intently. In another image, he is immersed in a mysterious setting, focused on a monitor surrounded by documents on the wall, heightening the intrigue.
A teaser video introduces a mysterious figure named “Medusa,” approaching Min Do Hyuk with a secret collaboration offer, raising questions about new adversaries disrupting the plans to expose Matthew Lee’s true identity.
Commenting on Season 2, Lee Joon stated, “You’ll witness a 180-degree shift in Min Do Hyuk compared to Season 1. He appears as an entirely different character, and I dedicated effort to alter his voice tone and expression.”
