Christine Brown is honoring Garrison Brown, who passed away unexpectedly. On Thursday, the Sister Wives star shared a heartfelt Instagram tribute, recalling him as a beloved brother to her daughter Truely, born to Janelle and Kody Brown.
“Garrison was a wonderful, caring brother who understood Truely’s need for a hobby and built her a flowerbed,” she said, attaching a video of the flowerbed’s construction process. “We’ll miss him forever.”
She included the hashtags:
“#gratitude #missyou #loveyou #tellthoseyoulovethatyoulovethem”
Janelle, 54, posted on Instagram on Tuesday about her son’s abrupt death at the age of 25, saying,
“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown.”
“He was a shining light in the lives of everyone who knew him. His passing will leave such a void in our life that it will take our breath away,” she added. “We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
Kody, aged 55, also shared the statement on social media, along with various members of the Brown family on Instagram Stories.
Lieutenant Charles M. Hernandez II of the Flagstaff Police Department confirmed the heartbreaking news, stating:
“On 03/05/2024, Flagstaff Police officers responded to a report of a death inside a home.”
The FPD disclosed that Garrison’s 22-year-old brother Gabriel “found Mr. Brown deceased” in an apparent suicide.
The statement went on to say,
“At this time there is not any indication of foul play, and Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division are investigating.”
Garrison first appeared on TLC’s Sister Wives, alongside siblings Maddie (28), Savanah (19), Logan (29), Hunter (27), and Gabe, all born to Janelle and Kody. Kody also has 12 other children with his current and former sister’s wives.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Garrison and Gabe had a strained relationship with their father Kody, which persisted until Garrison’s passing.
However, on last year’s Sister Wives Special: Look Back, Where We Started, Janelle mentioned that Kody did eventually “have somewhat of a relationship with Garrison,” although there was “no reconciliation.”
