Adapted from Priest’s novel, “Unknown” is a romance drama starring Chris Chiu and Kurt Huang. Wei Qian has taken on the role of provider for his family ever since he lost his parents at a young age.
His responsibility extends beyond just caring for his biological sister, Wei Li Li; he also looks after Wei Zhi Yuan, whom he has adopted as his own brother.
To make ends meet, Wei Qian takes on dangerous, illegal work, risking his own safety to support his siblings. Fortunately, his childhood friend San Pang steps in to guide him back onto a lawful path, offering a glimmer of hope in their challenging circumstances.
As life becomes more stable, a surprising turn of events occurs when Xiao Yuan, a member of their close-knit circle, confesses his feelings for Wei Qian. In a moment of impulsiveness, Xiao Yuan kisses Wei Qian without consent, leaving him feeling overwhelmed with a mix of emotions.
Unable to cope with the situation, Wei Qian makes the difficult decision to send Xiao Yuan abroad, hoping to distance himself from the unexpected romantic entanglement. Despite his efforts to maintain distance, Wei Qian can’t shake the feeling that something is amiss.
The dynamic between him and Xiao Yuan leaves him questioning whether their bond is strictly familial or if it could potentially evolve into something more romantic.
With their relationship hanging in the balance, Wei Qian grapples with the uncertainty of whether they will remain as nothing more than brothers, or if they will dare to venture into uncharted territory and explore the possibility of becoming something more.
