In the recently released third season of Resident Alien, Earth’s future is in danger. Instead of planning the planet’s demise, Harry is attempting to save it this time. Our hero’s hatred for Joseph, the human-ghost hybrid, hasn’t lessened this week.
The show’s peculiar sense of humor is one of its distinctive features. This also applies to “The Upper Hand,” which never fails to cause fits of laughter. Conversely, some of the jokes are deeper and deftly apply to a range of situations.
The mayor awkwardly posing for foot fetishists or Max playing the Alien Tracker are only two examples of how these gags advance the plot by tying up loose ends and disclosing new information.
Recap
On this week’s episode of Resident Alien, the romantic and narrative tension is building. In “Avian Flu,” Alan Tudyk and Edi Patterson are a dynamic duo. Their moments are endearing and funny. They’re both at the peak of their hilarious abilities. I’m hoping Patterson stays in the game.
“Avian Flu” brings back David Logan, a beloved character from the alien game, and revitalizes Peter Bach. All my buddy wants is to live in peace, but that’s not possible for General McCallister. Furthermore, Mike and Liv discover Joseph is not who they once believed him to be.
This is a strong performance that keeps up the energy from the thrilling finale last week. It combines all of our favorite elements from Resident Alien: action, heart, murderous owls, and alien fluids with witty, scathing comedy.
Harry and Heather later have a meeting in his clinic office. He informs her that he intends to countersue the Housing Council until it goes away. Why? Harry is a naughty lad, that’s why! He had previously killed a person for injuring a seagull and taking its French fry.
Harry offers to check Heather out after teasing her for a little while. She rarely gets to experience life as a human. Harry requests that Asta spit into Heather’s blanket. There’s a foreplay here that sounds foreign.
