On Monday, Ikumi Hasegawa was revealed as the protagonist, Masaki, setting the stage for the upcoming anime. With Fairouz Ai now joining the cast as Live, the anticipation for Mayonaka Punch reaches new heights.
Set against the backdrop of NewTube culture, the anime follows Masaki, a former member of the Harakiri Sisters NewTuber group, navigating the challenges of unemployment due to a specific incident.
Eager for a triumphant return, Masaki encounters Live, and together, they embark on a spirited journey. Despite differing goals, the duo aims to achieve a significant milestone—accumulating 1 million subscribers on NewTube.
Mayonaka Punch brings together the creative minds behind the beloved Ya Boy Kongming! anime. Directed by Shū Honma, with scriptwriting by Hideaki Shirasaka, and animated by the esteemed studio P.A. Works, the series promises a visually captivating and emotionally engaging experience.
