At Survivor Series 2023, CM Punk made his historic comeback to the WWE, shocking the whole WWE fan base. The World Heavyweight Championship match between The Second City Saint and Seth Rollins was set to be the main event of WrestleMania 40, and the Saint even hinted at winning the Royal Rumble.
But because of surgery and recuperation, Punk was ruled out of television after tearing his right tricep muscle. When Punk declared he would not be attending WrestleMania this year, his desire of attending the event was put on hold.
Numerous alterations to the WrestleMania match card and the path to WrestleMania were effected by the injury. A recent update indicates that Punk’s broadcast debut is only weeks away, much to the dismay of the WWE Universe, which is waiting for his triumphant comeback.
CM Punk’s WWE return
An advertisement for CM Punk can be seen for the Monday Night Raw show in Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on April 1, 2024. It has been observed that the company’s official website has promoted CM Punk’s arrival on the Raw before to WrestleMania 40.
But, we may anticipate Punk’s arrival a week earlier on the Raw show broadcast on March 25 at Chicago, Illinois’ Allstate Arena—Punk’s hometown. Punk will make his WWE comeback in this exact stadium during Survivor Series 2023.
CM Punk made his appearance on February 19, 2024, following Raw’s initial broadcast interruption following his injury. It’s unclear if Punk is returning for good, or if this will just be a routine visit.
Punk claimed that he hurt his hand, not his lips, and that he was still capable of spitting fire during his commentary for the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff event.
Punk appears to be making an appearance on the commentary desk based on his previous clues. To find out what he will be creating, we will have to wait nearly a month for his arrival.
