On the 19th afternoon, LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) hosted a showcase at Hwajeong Gymnasium, Korea University, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, marking the launch of their mini 3rd album ‘EASY’.
LE SSERAFIM’s actual anxieties and concerns could range from the pressures of performing, maintaining a public image, coping with fame, managing personal relationships, and dealing with criticism, to navigating the competitive nature of the entertainment industry.
These are common themes among artists, but without specific details from the group themselves, it’s challenging to pinpoint their exact worries.
First, Huh Yunjin said,
“LE SSERAFIM has always shown a confident image, haven’t we? I am a person who tends to overthink and have been worried about what stories we should tell in the future. I believe that people have two sides. I thought that the confident side of LE SSERAFIM and the side with anxieties and worries were both me. It was good that we could express this through music, and I think I was able to overcome my anxieties through LE SSERAFIM.”
Furthermore, Sakura shared,
“Last year, we released a single ‘Perfect Night’ and received more love than expected. We were already preparing ‘EASY’ at that time and wondered if our next album could be as well-received. I think we were able to overcome it with a positive mindset, thinking ‘We can still make it happen’.”
Facing competition from senior artists like IU and TWICE in their comeback activities, Kazuha from LE SSERAFIM expressed,
“We are now active at the same time as seniors we really like and respect. We are very excited, and I think there will be a lot to learn from them during this activity.”
“So, we are looking forward to it.”
“Our biggest goal is to do our best with what we have prepared and to present it well to our fans. If we can convey the stories we want to tell and the energy we want to deliver to our fans through this activity, that alone would make us happy.”
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM’s mini 3rd album ‘EASY’ marks a new musical journey for the group, featuring experimental tracks. The album comprises 5 songs, with the title track ‘EASY’ delving into the Trap genre. Released at 6 PM on the 19th, it introduces fans to the group’s evolving sound and artistic exploration.
