On Friday, February 16, FNC Entertainment disclosed the upcoming debut of a new four-member rock band. The band’s name remains undisclosed at this time.
This debut signifies a noteworthy moment for the agency, marking the first band launch in eleven years following the success of CNBLUE, FTISLAND, and N.Flying.
While the band’s official debut is slated for the first half of 2025, fans can look forward to the revelation of its members on February 18. They are scheduled to perform at the opening stage of FTISLAND’s HEYDAY concert in Taipei, Taiwan.
FNC Entertainment further disclosed that the inception of the new band was driven by the aim to uphold the legacy and esteemed reputation established by the agency through the debut of notable rock bands like FTISLAND, N.Flying, and CNBLUE. Here’s the statement provided by the agency about their upcoming artist:
“We plan to launch a new band that will follow in the footsteps of FTISLAND, CNBLUE, and N.Flying. We are working hard to prepare, with the goal of a debut in the first half of next year, so please show lots of anticipation and interest.”
Fans familiar with the Korean rock genre recognize CNBLUE, N.Flying, and FTISLAND as among the most renowned and enduring rock bands still active in the industry. Their music has resonated widely, extending beyond traditional rock music audiences and earning them significant prominence in the industry.
Naturally, FNC Entertainment, home to these esteemed rock bands, has garnered a reputation for consistently debuting high-caliber music acts that maintain their popularity in the industry for years. CNBLUE debuted in 2009, FTISLAND in 2007, and N.Flying, the latest addition to FNC Entertainment’s rock roster, debuted in 2013.
While FNC Entertainment has introduced several K-pop groups since N.Flying’s debut, there hasn’t been any debut from a rock or music band. Thus, when the agency announced the upcoming launch of a new four-piece Korean rock band, netizens were elated by the news.
The members slated for debut have reportedly undergone extensive training under the agency for a significant period, intensifying fans’ excitement and anticipation for the new music band. FNC Entertainment has revealed that the official introduction of the members will take place during the upcoming band’s performance at the opening stage of FTISLAND’s HEY DAY concert in Taipei on February 18.
Even though details about the members, their skills, and other pertinent information will be unveiled during their performance at FTISLAND’s show in a few days, their official debut remains almost a year away, scheduled for the first half of 2025.
Nonetheless, bolstered by the agency’s track record with previous bands and the extensive training period the members have undergone in preparation for their debut, fans hold high expectations for FNC Entertainment’s upcoming artists.
