The premiere date for Star Trek: Discovery season five is set for April. Additionally, Paramount+ will air two episodes of the final season of Captain Michael Burnham’s (Sonequa Martin-Green) adventures.
At SXSW in March, the fifth season of Discovery will make its global debut with a screening of the opening episode, “Red Directive.” More than two years after the conclusion of Star Trek: Discovery season 4 streamed onParamount+ on March 17, 2022, comes the eagerly awaited Discovery season 5.

A tonal shift into an epic intergalactic adventure is anticipated in Discovery season 5, the penultimate season of the flagship Star Trek onParamount+ series, as Captain Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and the USS Discovery search for “the greatest treasure in the known galaxy.”
An 800-year-old Romulan starship is connected to an ancient artifact that Burnham and other people in the galaxy are searching for. The first two episodes of Star Trek: Discovery season 5 will debut on Thursday, April 4, 2024, according to a statement from Paramount+.
In the US, UK, Switzerland, South Korea, Latin America, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, and Austria, Discovery season 5 will debut exclusively on Paramount+. The fifth season of Discovery will also debut on P+ in Canada on April 4. Every Thursday on Paramount+, new episodes of the 10-episode fifth season of Star Trek: Discovery will debut.
Star Trek: Discovery season 5 is expected to feature a “big thing,” which could hint at a return to Star Trek: The Next Generation; a promotion for Doug Jones’s character Captain Saru and the continuation of Saru’s romance with President T’Rina (Tara Rosling); the reunion of Cleveland Booker (David Ajala) and Captain Michael Burnham.
Additional character development for the USS Discovery crew; and a two-part Star Trek: Discovery series finale, which will be directed by Jonathan Frakes and Olatunde Osunsanmi, which will include a special epilogue to conclude the show.
