BLACKPINK is garnering extensive fan support as the group and its members assert independence both collectively and individually. On her birthday, which falls on the 11th, Rose briefly unveiled her self-composed song ‘vampirehollie’ on her account.
Rose surprises with the release of her self-composed song. She said,
“I am so thankful for celebrating my 27th birthday. I know there hasn’t been much news about me recently, so you must have been curious about what I’ve been up to. I’ve been working hard every day because I want to meet you all this year with a better appearance. I wanted to surprise you when I’m more perfect, so there hasn’t been much news, but since it’s my birthday today, I wanted to spoil it.”
“(vampirehollie) is still a stage name, but it’s a song I worked on last year,” and promised, “I will try my best to come back with a better appearance this year.”
Especially, Rose showed her determination for solo activities by asking,
“I gave you a gift, so please give me one too! Just recommend one name for my fandom in the voting window.”
BLACKPINK has garnered significant fan support as the group reaffirms its unity and individuality. Since their debut in 2016, BLACKPINK has now entered their 8th year. However, the group persists in their collective endeavors solely with YG Entertainment.
In December last year, YG announced,
“We have signed an extension contract for BLACKPINK’s group activities,” and “Individual activities will proceed without a separate additional contract.”
The first member to announce her solo venture was Jennie, who founded the personal label ODD ATELIER with her mother. Her debut solo activity involved appearing on KBS 2TV’s ‘The Seasons – Lee Hyori’s Red Carpet,’ where she received notable acclaim. Following Jennie’s lead, fellow BLACKPINK members Jisoo and Lisa also embark on their solo endeavors.
Furthermore, Lisa announced the establishment of ‘LLOUD’ (loud) on the 8th via her social media accounts as a platform “to showcase my vision for music and entertainment.”
As BLACKPINK progresses towards asserting their individuality, the chorus of support for their solo endeavors is amplifying.
