Seoryang and other met Hong Kwan in the previous chapter. Readers are curious to find out how Seoryang would confront physician Fang in Chronicles of the Demon Faction Chapter 56.
Seoryang thought the back garden looked very fancy, the back garden looked bigger than the thousand treasure gold family. They were known for being the wealthiest of the seven families of the demon cult.
Hongryeon had never seen a garden like that one before. She believed that it had got to be on par with the royal garden.
Hongryeon considered that the Jeoksas had to be rich, and the patriarch’s men informed them the patriarch was waiting for them at the gazebo.
But he advised them to leave their weapons there. Hongryeon got mad at the guy for giving them orders. Seoryang told Hongryeon they were not there to fight so he was not sure why she seemed so mad.
The guy thanked Seoryang for cooperating with him. Dongpil explained that he was there as the inspector general, but he reminded him that he was just being respectful because it was still his territory.
Dongpil explained that his duty was to guard the inspector general, and informed them he could not leave his weapon.
Dongpil requested them to be more understanding of his situation. But the guy warned Dongpil that he could not let him bring a weapon into the banquet.
But fortunately, their patriarch came out and told his men to stop making them uncomfortable and let them in. Seoryang realized that the patriarch was a strong guy because his qi was able to sense without even seeing him.
He considered that the patriarch seemed to be about half a level above him. As he had a stronger presence than, Ji Woonhwe. He realized that he should not underestimate him.
Hong Kwan introduced himself to Seoryang and others as the head of the Jeoksa family. He mentioned that it was an honour for him to be in the presence of the inspector general.

Hong Kwan told Seoryang he was too polite and mentioned that he was not sure how he should act around him.
Seoryang told him it would have been different if he had visited as the third young lord of the cult. But instead, he was there as the inspector general so he wanted to act politely.
Hong Kwan considered that by that statement Seoryang meant that the third young lord had a higher status than the inspector general. So he believed that Seoryang would not have acted like that normally.
Hong Kwan mentioned to Seoryang that it seemed like the rumours about his courage and the martial arts making him the divine cult’s best prodigy were not wrong.
Seoryang told Dongpil to prepare a seat for him because he was planning to sit there for a while. Hong Kwan was not sure why Seoryang decided to sit there instead of sitting with him.
Seoryang reminded Hong Kwan he was meeting him strictly for business, and mentioned that he would sit next to him once the business was over.
The council members could not believe that Seoryang rejected the patriarch’s offer. The atmosphere got quite tense after that.
Hong Kwan told Seoryang he understood that and mentioned that they could have some fun together later after their work.
But in reality, Hong Kwan was very upset because he could not believe that a young guy like Seoryang had the guts to reject him Meanwhile Seoryang knew that Hong Kwan was looking down on him.
Because he thought that no matter how talented someone was if they were younger than him he believed that he was superior to them.
