Travis Kelce disclosed the inception of his love story with Taylor Swift.
According to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, they had been acquainting themselves for weeks before Taylor Swift attended his game against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 24, 2023.
“We had known each other for close to a month up to that point,” Travis Kelce, 34, shared during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show Wednesday.
We're happy for you brother..
"It's been a crazy ride that I could've never anticipated and I'm having fun with it..

Three days before Swift attended the Chiefs-Bears game, Kelce mentioned on The Pat McAfee Show that he “threw the ball in her court” and had invited her to watch him play. On Wednesday, he revealed he had already known she would go see him play when he made that statement on the show.
“It wasn’t just an out-of-the-blue, ‘Hey, come to the game,'” Kelce said. Since that first appearance, Swift, 34, has attended 12 of Kelce’s games.
“I love it when Taylor comes and supports me and enjoys the game with the fam and friends. It’s been nothing but a wonderful year, man,” he told McAfee.
While acknowledging that the attention their relationship has garnered is “brand new,” Kelce expressed that he is enjoying the experience.
“You know, it’s been a crazy, crazy ride that I could have never anticipated,” he continued. “But I’m having fun with it. The majority of the world is having fun with it, outside all the cranky NFL fans that just don’t want to see the Chiefs win.”
Speculations about a romance between the two began when the athlete attended the singer’s Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium and attempted to give her his number.
“If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it,” he recalled to his brother Jason on their New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast in July.
Kelce expressed feeling “a little butthurt” for not having the chance to give Taylor Swift the personalized bracelet, attributing it to her busy preparations for the show.
Anyone know how to get a bracelet to @taylorswift13? … asking for a friend 😅 @BWWings

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” he told his older brother.
Kelce, in an interview for WSJ. Magazine’s December/January issue, revealed that he admires Taylor Swift’s work ethic, a trait they share. He mentioned to McAfee that his own work ethic is the reason he won’t be attending the Grammy’s on Sunday.
“I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for but I think I got practice on Sunday,” said Kelce.
Kelce and the Chiefs are set to face the San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, at the Grammy’s, Swift is nominated for six awards, including album of the year, record of the year, and song of the year.
