Miho Okasaki, renowned for her notable roles in the industry, not only joins the cast but also showcases her talents as the artist behind the ending theme song, “Kanataboshi,” for the television anime adaptation of Shinogi Kazanami’s light novel series, “The New Gate.” Okasaki lends her voice to the character Yuzuha, a child Element Tail appearing in the form of a fox pup.
Under the direction of Tamaki Nakatsu, known for the “Eyeshield 21: The Phantom Golden Bowl” film, the anime is produced by Yokohama Animation Lab and Cloud Hearts. The series scripts are skillfully crafted by Hiroki Uchida, who has contributed to works like “Gamers!” and “The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest.” Character design responsibilities fall on Itsuki Takemoto, acclaimed for his animation director role in series like “Kan Colle” and “Naruto Shippūden.” The music composition team includes Tatsuhiko Saiki, Yūya Mori, Misaki Tsuchida, and Tsugumi Tanaka.
One Peace Books has secured the license for the manga adaptation of the novels and distributes it both digitally and in print. The physical release of the 12th compiled volume is scheduled for February 6. Describing the manga’s first volume, One Peace Books presents it as follows:

Kazanami initiated the serialization of the original story on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” (Let’s Become Novelists) website in 2013. AlphaPolis began the publication of the story in physical volumes in December 2013, with illustrations by Makai no Jūnin. In August 2016, Kazanami withdrew the story from Shōsetsuka ni Narō, and AlphaPolis subsequently hosted it on its website. The 22nd novel volume was released by AlphaPolis on November 30.
Miwa introduced the manga in November 2014 on AlphaPolis’ web manga platform. The 13th volume of the manga was published by AlphaPolis on February 28.
