Crunchyroll announced on Monday the release of the English dub for the second season of the television anime adaptation of Afro’s Yurucamp (Yurukyan△, Laid-Back Camp Δ) manga, scheduled for Tuesday.
The cast features: Celeste Perez as Rin, Morgan Lauré as Nadeshiko, Molly Zhang as Ena, Katelyn Barr as Chiaki, Hannah Alyea as Aoi, Phil Parsons as Wataru, Kelsey Cruz as Saki, Larry Cassady as Narrator, Katie Wetch as Ayano and Ian Sinclair as Clerk.
Shawn Gann will be the voice director, with Susie Nixon as the producer, Heather Walker adapting the script, and Jose Sandoval serving as the audio engineer.
Afro started the manga in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine in 2015 and later transferred it to Houbunsha’s Comic Fuz manga website in 2019. Yen Press commenced the English release of the manga in March 2018.
An anime adaptation of the manga debuted in January 2018, with Crunchyroll streaming the 12-episode series during its original broadcast. Crunchyroll also provided an English dub for the first season. The second season of the anime premiered in January 2021. The third season is scheduled to premiere in April 2024.
Additionally, an anime film inspired by the manga was released in July 2022, and Crunchyroll initiated the film’s streaming in November 2022.
A live-action television series based on the original manga debuted in January 2019.
The anime also served as inspiration for MAGES’ Yurucamp Have a Nice Day! game, which was launched for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in November 2022. Gemdrops introduced the Laid-Back Camp – Virtual – Lake Motosu (Yurucamp Virtual Camp Motosuko-hen) VR game in March 2021 and followed up with the release of the Laid-Back Camp – Virtual – Fumoto Campsite (Yurucamp Virtual Camp Fumoto Camp Jō-hen) VR game in April 2022.
