The married life of Madelyn and Earl has just started to get better as the two of them have started to make efforts to know each other. In an attempt to free Earl from his memories of war, Madelyn has decided to organize a Movie Screening program.

The Redemption Of Earl Nottingham Chapter 14 opens up with Madelyn checking up on Earl as she serves the morning tea. Earl surprisingly replies that he’s doing well which makes Madelyn happy.
Madelyn thinks that Earl has changed a bit after that day because he wouldn’t have bothered to even reply to her questions if he was still the same.

Madelyn suddenly notices an original copy of Tamberlain’s The Great Book on the bookshelf, and she decides to take a look. Earl allows Madelyn to take the book with her if she likes it, but Madelyn starts to think that Earl is just being nice to her. Madelyn tells Earl that she could just keep the book back on the bookshelf if he wants her to.
Earl stops Madelyn and tells her that she’s his wife, so naturally, everything he owns belongs to her also.
Earl’s words leave such a deep impact on Madelyn that she goes silent as she can’t contain her happiness. Earl then inquires about the progress of the Manor wall repairs from Sebastian.
Madelyn wonders if she can make Earl forget about his memories of the war, and she suddenly gets an idea after looking at the book in her hands. Later that day, Madelyn asks Sebastian to prepare a movie screening program.
Sebastian tries to refuse Madelyn’s request because of various reasons but he ultimately agrees with her as Madelyn’s just too persistent. Sebastian suggests that Madelyn could also hold a tea party, but Madelyn refuses by saying that she wants to do something new.
Madelyn elaborates that through the movie screening, she would prove to Earl that the world is healing and that the past era of wars and destruction is over. Sebastian realizes how determined Madelyn is and so he readily accepts to assist her because he also wants Earl to get over his past.
Just like that, the preparations for the movie screening begin. At first, Madelyn thought the entire preparation process would be stressful and hard, but when she saw how lively the Manor became due to all the work, she felt as if she finally became alive.
As expected, though, Earl didn’t pay much attention to all the work and stayed away, but Madelyn understood that it was his way of saying that she could use his room without any worry.
Madelyn decides that she should just ask Earl once to make sure that he’s okay with this. Madelyn approaches Earl while he’s resting and starts to talk about how she’s anxious about the party. As Madelyn expected, her rants manage to get a reaction from Earl.
Madelyn takes this opportunity and asks Earl if he would like to watch a movie after the tea party, and Earl readily agrees. Madelyn storms out of the room while trying to hide her blushing face. Both Earl and Madelyn couldn’t contain their happiness, but they both tried to hide it to not let the other person know.
Days go by, and the day of the screening finally arrives. Madelyn feels happy because so many people showed up for the screening. She looks at all the people dressed so elegantly and thinks that there’s not much difference between commoners and noble people these days.
Madelyn’s happiness fades quickly when she realizes that most of the people present at the party are probably here to see the rumored ghost of the Nottingham manor with their own eyes. She starts to regret his decision to invite Earl to such a party as it would be quite difficult for him to have so many eyes pointed at him.
Madelyn starts to wonder if Earl would even show up to the party after seeing so many people. Despite her sadness, Madelyn looks prepared for anything that may happen.
Thankfully, Earl arrives at the party, and he even wears an elegant dress for the occasion. He stands at the stairs and apologizes to everyone for being late, and he then introduces himself to everyone.
