Cast
Happinet has assembled an experienced anime production team to bring “The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human” to television screens.
Leading the creative efforts will be director Norihiko Nagahama, known for his work on several popular fantasy adventure series over the past decade. Working alongside Nagahama will be seasoned script writer Touko Machida, who will adapt the stories from the manga version for the small screen.
On the artistic front, Masami Sueoka will serve as the lead character designer, visualizing the characters to match with the anime medium. To complete the audiovisual experience, acclaimed composer KOHTA YAMAMOTO has been tapped to score the series and craft its emotive soundtrack.
An important detail noted by Happinet is that this anime production will be based specifically on the manga adaptation released several years after the initial light novel debut of “The Strongest Magician” stories.
Thus the animated world and narrative may differ in places from the originally penned novels that inspired the franchise.
As for what fans can look forward to, Happinet set the stage stating:
“Ike is known as ‘the strongest magician in the demon king’s army’ and is a single-handedly conquering fortresses. The way he mowed down the enemies with his immense magic is truly a ‘monster’ that makes him feared by both allies and foes alike. However, he had a secret that he could not tell other demons.”
So expect no shortage of intense magical action alongside undisclosed secrets and hidden truths to be uncovered over the course of this ambitious fantasy drama.
More About “The Strongest Magician In The Demon Lord’s Army Was A Human”
The fantasy adventure series “The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human” has taken quite a journey across creative formats over the last several years on its way to this newly announced anime adaptation.
Originally, author Ryousuke Hata published his envisioned stories in web novel form on the popular Japanese website Shosetsuka ni Naro. This allowed him to share an ongoing, regularly updated narrative directly with emerging fans starting back in 2016.
Gaining readership and popularity on the web, the next step saw Hata partner with illustrator Kuma to adapt the web novel into a more polished light novel version. This serialized print release spanned a run from September 2016 to April 2018, allowing readers to immerse in the dramatic tales on paper.
Transitioning from novels to comics, Hata then collaborated with artist Anajiro to bring his narratives to life in manga form. Debuting in the Japanese monthly manga magazine Gaugau Monster in July 2019, this manga remains in publication through today, now consisting of multiple graphic novel volumes for devotees to collect.
