Find out in For My Abandoned Love Chapter 70!
For My Abandoned Love Chapter 69 opens up with Hestia meeting up with Helio but Helio starts acting a bit different this time. Helio asks Hestia if she is hurt and he becomes genuinely caring for her. The focus then shifts to the past to explain why Helio is acting like this.
Helio asks Hestia if she has something important to say to him considering that she came all the way even though there’s a heavy downpour. Hestia gets annoyed because she’s the one who would decide if her foresight is important or not but Helio always tries to act smart in front of her.
Recap
Helio asks Hestia if she got a new foresight on the borders of the empire but Hestia disagrees. She then hands over an envelope to Helios as she considers that it might be valuable for him. Helio reads the contents of the envelope and finds that Baron Potos’ merchant ships are sinking.
Helio says that there must be a lot of nobles who would have invested in these merchant ships. Hestia agrees with Helio by saying that she has met Baron and she has verified him too. She further says that the ship sinking would have done a lot of damage.
Hestia thinks about all that has happened so far and wonders if something is strange. Hestia only decided to tell Helios about her foresight on the merchant ships because she wanted Diana to invest in them and so even if Helios had some suspicions about this matter, he would still trust her foresight.
Hestia knows that Diana won’t believe her foresight but if Helio told her about it then she might become willing to put away her hatred and invest in the merchant ships. Hestia tells Helio that she wanted to tell the people who have invested in the merchant ships that the ships are going to sink but Kael stopped her from doing so.
Hestia says that there are always risks when it comes to investing and that applies to merchant ships too, there’s no way of protecting the investment. Helio asks Hestia that if the scale of investment is huge then the loss would be equivalent to one of a whole empire. To tackle this problem, Hestia advises preventing nobles from investing.
Hestia further adds that the nobles won’t believe it if they heard that it’s just some foresight and so she is only going to tell people to limit their investment. Helio considers all the elements and agrees that Hestia’s advice is the best course of action for now.
Hestia thinks that she is now almost done with her plan as the only thing remaining now is for Helio to tell Diana about this foresight. Hestia decides to leave but she feels kinda sad after seeing Helio being so tense about this matter.
Helio scoffs and says that there’s something else he would like to discuss with Hestia. He asks Hestia if she got injured. The focus then shifts to Hestia recalling this conversation with Kael. Kael couldn’t comprehend that Helio tried to ask about Hestia’s well-being considering how he’s usually cold-hearted and silent.
Hestia says that Helio’s weird behavior could be because of what happened during the tea party. Kael gets rather furious and thinks that he should have just gone along with Hestia so that he would’ve silenced Helio. Kael asks Hestia if Helio said something else. Hestia recalls what Helio said and the focus shifts back to Hestia and Helio having a conversation in the office.
Helio tells Hestia that he is having trouble talking with Diana. He further adds that Diana has been avoiding him since the tea party which may be because of Hestia’s insulting words. Hestia says that she can apologize for her words but she doesn’t think Helio and Diana will ever apologize for insulting her and Kael.
Helio says that he can apologize for that but Hestia says that she doesn’t need his apologies. She tells Helio to stop protecting such a self-righteous woman. Helio gets angry at Hestia for her remarks but he chooses to stay silent because he knows that she’s right.
