Ever since Himari came to the mysterious Momochi house, her life has been turned upside down. The new revelation about Aoi being unable to leave the house definitely came as a shock.
It seems like Himari was supposed to become the Nue and protect the human world from the spirit world, the job that Aoi was forced to take up when he stumbled inside the Momochi house as a kid. Let us see how Himari’s stay at the supernatural house goes in The Demon Prince of Momochi House Episode 3.
So far, we have seen that Aoi’s Shinigami are not all that welcoming to Himari, since they consider her to be an unwelcomed guest and a disturbance for Aoi.
They are most probably wary of her since she gets in trouble way too easily, being the only human in a place that borders the spirit world and has none of her defenses up.
Aoi has to jump forward and save her whenever she gets in trouble which might put him in danger one day. However, Himari has no other place to go considering she is an orphan and Momochi house is the only thing left for her. It doesn’t look like Aoi wants Himari to leave, either.
Fans are especially happy about this adaptation and even calling this season the shoujo season, seeing the number of shoujo anime being aired and the number of shoujo manga being adapted.
The main characters of the story hold a striking resemblance to the leads from Kamisama Kiss, another one of the most popular shoujo series.

Recap
In the previous chapter of The Demon Prince of Momochi House, Himari gets saved by Aoi and she falls asleep. However when she wakes up, she finds Aoi sleeping right next to her and she becomes extremely flustered. After waking Aoi up, she starts hitting him out of embarrassment and the fact that he acts really weird sometimes.
Fans found it extremely funny because Aoi looked like he had no idea why Himari was so mad. He just innocently defended himself, saying that he must have come closer to her because he was cold. That just embarrasses Himari more and she hits Aoi again to shut him up.
The Shinigami just shrug saying that she might be the owner but the Onomori-san, that is Aoi, is the head of the house since he is the Nue. Himari asks them to pay rent since she is the landlord but of course they don’t have any money, since they are pretty self sustainable and don’t need it.
Himari is fascinated since it is exactly how things are mentioned in old fairy tales. Ise, the Shinigami starts being rude to Himari, and she tells him to get out in anger.
Weirdly enough, Ise gets flung out of the room by an external power the moment she said it, which means that she is acknowledged as the owner of the house.
After that, Himari is thinking about everything Aoi and the Shinigami had told her when she gets lost in the house and she hears the Shinigami and Aoi talk. She walks closer to them and hears Ise talk about strengthening some barrier for Himari, and sees Aoi kneeling on the floor with talisman around him.
