South Korean actor Kwak Si-yang and Lim Hyun-ju, also known as Im Hyun-joo, posted matching pictures of themselves through Instagram on Tuesday, 16 January. The pictures show the couple enjoying their time with friends and family as they hosted a very special celebration in the Korean countryside.
The caption of the post made by Kwak Si-yang says “Birthday vacation trip to the countryside”, with the first picture showing the actor posing for the camera with a glare filter on it. Kwak Si-yang’s birthday fell on 15 January, and he celebrated it through a peaceful trip with friends and family.
A charming birthday scene with a “Happy Birthday” sticker on the wall was depicted in the next photo, decorated with multicolored bear-faced balloons. A campfire was depicted in another image along with a picture of the star with his friends.
While more than 8,000 people have liked the post by Kwak Si-yang, Lim Hyun-ju also uploaded photos from the same trip which depict similar scenes from the countryside but from her perspective.
The carousel of images depict her time spent with her friends, along with pictures of herself in front of the birthday celebration, and some beautiful scenery.
Kwak Si Yang, who is 36 years old, and Lim Hyeon Joo, who is 31 years old, began dating in September 2023, according to an exclusive report from SPOTV, after becoming acquainted through mutual acquaintances.
As they maintained communication over a long time, their friendship transformed into a loving partnership, explained by Drawing Entertainment, Kwak Si-yang’s agency, through an official statement.
The couple would frequently like each other’s social media posts, and some followers believed they were dating as they appeared to be wearing couple rings in their Instagram photos.
Who is Kwak Si-yang?
Born on January 15, 1987, under the birth name Kwak Myeong-jin, Kwak Si-yang is a South Korean actor who made his feature debut in the drama Glorious Day in 2014.
In another 2014 movie titled Night Flight, he played his first major role, and then later, he had an appearance in Goo Hae-ra’s musical drama Persevere.
First released on October 1, 2015, “Love You” is the debut single by One O One, a project group of Starhaus Entertainment. Kwak is in the group with actors Ahn Hyo-seop, Song Won-seok, and Kwon Do-kyun, who are also his fellow Starhaus actors.
Kwak rose to fame as the lead actor in the critically acclaimed romantic comedy drama Oh My Ghost, where he played the kind and compassionate but seemingly distant chef. Following that, he starred in the daily drama All is Well before appearing on the reality series We Got Married, where he was matched with Kim So-yeon, an actress.

Kwak appeared in the historical-fantasy SBS series Lovers of the Red Sky in 2021 and began filming the JTBC drama Idol: The Coup in the same year.
Following the expiration of his contract with the previous agency, Kwak inked a new deal with Drawing Entertainment later in September 2021. He portrayed barista Gong Soo-cheol in the KBS2 drama Café Minamdang in 2022.
Who is Im Hyun-joo?
Actress and broadcaster Im Hyun Joo was born in Busan in South Korea, and she earned a bachelor’s degree in costume design from Kookmin University.
She was employed as a fitting model at a mall prior to becoming an actress. She started her acting career in earnest with “Follow Me Season 10” in 2018, after garnering a lot of attention from her debut in the 2018 Channel A Heart Signal Season 2.
