Gushing Over Magical Girls is set to release its new episode very soon, and fans are very excited about the release of the latest episode. This magical fun anime is adapted from a manga series called “Magical Girls,” which was released in 2019.
The manga series was written and illustrated by Akihiro Ononaka. So far, a total of 10 volumes are already been released with original licensing from J-Novel Club. The popular production house Asahi Productions took charge of releasing the anime adaptation in January 2024.
The anime follows the story of a shy and introverted high school student, Utena Hiragi, who always dreamt of becoming a magical girl who saves the world from evil and devilish people. His dream sure comes true but in the opposite way.
One fine day, a mascot appears who tells her that he will give her powers through which she can turn herself into a magical girl. Hiragi falls for the mascot’s words and accepts the magic spell. However, after turning into magical, she realizes she has become an evil magical girl instead.
Now, Hiragi had no choice but to accept herself as the evil magical girl. But as she transforms every time, she realizes that she has a sadistic side too and that she punishes the good magical girls with her charms.
Hiragi’s torture of the pure tres magia magical girls soon becomes an obsession for her. How Hiragi will cope with his obsession in her daily life at school and home. It will be interesting to watch the unique journey of Hiragi from real to fantasy.
Recap
The last episdoe begins with Hiragi having lewd thoughts in her mind, and then suddenly, she realizes she is at school. She blames her mind and tries to go through the class till it is over.
While going back, Minakami calls her and asks her the reason for her being lost in class. Minakami tells Hiragi that if she ever feels like ranting about something, she will be free and excited to share her ears with her.
Hiragi, after having a conversation with Minakami, starts feeling better, and she can’t believe that she talked to the popular girl. But still, the fantasies trouble her mind, and she just wanna get rid of them.
On her way home, Hiragi goes to a shrine and prays to god to stop her mind from fantasizing about the Tres Magia. She was just returning home when she saw an adult-rated magazine lying on the floor.
The magazine made Hiragi curious to see what its content was inside, and as she looked up, she saw several porn magazines lying on the floor, which lured her to the back of the temple.
She starts reading and soon realizes the BDMS stuff she did with Tres Magia is explained in the magazine. Her lust made her convert into the villain back even when she didn’t say her magic words.
However, Minakami, who is the shrine maiden, happens to go to the temple and clean as per her regular job. But she hears some noise from the back and transforms herself into a magical girl to check on the situation.
Both Minakami and Hiragi were unaware of their true self and face to face for a battle. How will this second take an end, and will Hiragi be able to find the reality of this magical girl? What kind of punishment will Hiragi give this time?
