Jaekyung will be in the care of Kim Dan for the first time in the story, to the young doc’s surprise. Up till now, most of their arrangement have been professional interactions or included some form of transactions. However, this time it will be different as Kim Dan will be looking after Jaekyung out of need in Jinx Chapter 44.
Kim Dan was in great distress once he met the old lover of his employer and learned about his view on things. The young doctor was taken aback by the words that came out of his hyung, but he didn’t say anything. Instead, he left to muse on the things that he had been told and what to do about them.
For all the Yaoi bottom understands, he needs to work to get a gift for his employer. Jaekyung’s birthday was coming soon, and the number of gifts he was getting seemed to pile up with each passing day. However, having this new knowledge will affect how he pursues things, and they add a little foreshadowing for what is to come.

Jinx Chapter 44 will see the roles reversed as Kim takes care of the drunken Jaekyung at his home. The romance series has dropped hints many times about Jaekyung not taking any precautions when it comes to his training. We saw it recently when Jaekyung caught Kim Dan and others eating Ramen and ruining their health for the coming competition.
Things will be a lot different as Jaekyung’s birthday hits as he can’t say no due to the nature of the occasion. The MMA fighter wasn’t happy when his club members announced a surprise party for him despite his wishes.
His reaction was predictable but shocking to those who wanted to celebrate his coming of the day. They were silent because of his refusal to celebrate the day.
While Jaekyung was successful in dampening the cheery mood of the group, he had to concede. One of his coaches came in and told him that they were there to celebrate, not threaten.
Thus begins the event where Jaekyung drinks alcohol and is lost in the trance that the beverage gave him. It turns out, while he is tough on the outside, his alcohol tolerance is on the lower end of things, a clumsier side of him, if you may.
Recap
Jinx Chapter 43 saw Kim Dan worried for the first part of the story as he pondered his relationship with Jaekyung. Kim has forgotten about all the things that Jaekyung has done to him, maybe even forgiven him. However, that forgiveness comes at the cost of him realizing that he doesn’t just think of Jaekyung as his employer.
While in his musings, doctor Dan came over a crease in the road and fell, injuring his hands and knees. This led to him paying the hospital a small visit before going back to his accommodations, where Jaekyung waited for him. However, the MMA fighter is so busy with his next match’s preparation that he doesn’t pay Kim much attention these days.
The next day, Kim was still having his musings but he also had to work and take care of the gym members. Ever since Jaekyung blasted on his face, the bottom had been trying not to stretch Jaekyung’s body too much.
Although he was successful in that, he ended up opening his injuries, making Jaekyung wonder where Kim got them. However, he didn’t probe into the issue, but it is usual for him not to show concern or curiosity.
