Recap and Review
Ailette tried to reassure Agnes that she needed not worry – there was something important Agnes needed to witness, but Ailette had completed whatever cryptic agenda she had. Still, Ailette’s heart ached from the overwhelming energy swirling within her.
Yet despite her surge in power, Ailette confessed she still lacked the strength to defeat the ultimate mastermind villain behind everything. Agnes could scarcely believe her eyes when she saw the very sky itself turning backward.
Suddenly, a loud system error sounded. Ailette received an alert that the cosmic “Voice” that shaped reality itself had gone offline temporarily.
She was instructed to patiently wait until the system was restored to functionality. Ailette further warned Agnes to brace herself because strange, glitchy things were going to happen across the world with the operating system out of order.
Agnes struggled to comprehend what Ailette meant by all this metaphysical talk. Ailette then reminded Agnes of a past conversation – when Agnes had asked why Ailette cared so much about helping the man named Tesilid.
Ailette had cryptically told Agnes that Tesilid was a “returnee” and the designated main character of the world they inhabited. Agnes admitted she still did not grasp what Ailette was trying to convey back then, nor now.
Ailette acknowledged it would not be easy for Agnes to fully understand. But with little time left, they agreed to continue pushing forward as best they could.
Ailette further revealed that the world they inhabited operated on a complex time loop system – one contingent on the main character (Tesilid) being resurrected again and again. This looping allowed their fragile reality to be maintained.
Spoilers and Expectations
Tesilid was fated to trigger the next loop cycle in about three months. But with Tesilid permanently dead and the cosmic system thrown into disarray, he could not return as foretold.
Abruptly, Agnes and Ailette blinked and found themselves returned to the past before recent chaotic events. A thoroughly confused Agnes peppered Ailette with questions, desperate to understand everything. Just then, the butler informed the head maid that Lady Gilette had arrived at the palace while her mistress was still sleeping.
Seeing a double rainbow outside, Agnes gasped as she realized they were indeed back one whole day as if the wild events with Ailette had never transpired.
Ailette affirmed the “rollback” had commenced – time itself rewinding 24 hours now that the main character had died prematurely before activating the next loop cycle.
Frustrated, Agnes still struggled to fathom the notion that ordinary Tesilid could be so cosmically important. She knew he was no god, so how could he be the linchpin holding reality together?
