Talking about Seunghan, the Kpop singer hails from South Korea itself. Born in 2003, he is now 20 years old. Very young, isn’t it? Reason Behind Seunghan Taking Hiatus From RIIZE Explained
The RIIZE singer, Seunghan, announced to have “indefinitely” halted group activities following a series of controversies sparked online. What was it? The news came out officially on 21 November 2023.
It all started after Seunghan’s controversial pictures and videos from his past went viral on the internet. To be more precise, one should note that those were all posted before his official debut. Talking more about it, the pictures and videos were of the kpop singer and his alleged girlfriend sharing kisses on bed.
In August 2023, Seunghan took it to social media and apologized to his fans for causing harm to the group RIIZE. On the other hand, the agency confirmed it has decided to take legal action against the person making the post. It was inappropriate. Nobody has the right to invade anyone’s privacy.
The controversies didn’t stop right there. A few days back, Seunghan’s old video of smoking went viral. Well, smoking is not a problem, of course. Despite knowing the harmful side effects, people do consume cigarettes. But what’s concerning is that Seunghan did that as a minor. Also, it was taken on the streets of Japan, where smoking is prohibited.
What did the agency SM Entertainment say further? A part of their statement was, “We have gathered substantial evidence and identified the individual responsible for unauthorized leaking and distribution of information.” In addition to this, it also intended to file a complaint with the local police station.
The Kpop star, Seunghan, shared with his fans that he is now committed to self-reflection to become a good person- better than before, at least. He also apologized to the remaining six members of RIIZE, his fanbase, and other staff. Overall, the allegations and controversies are more like a mental burden to him.
Following the series of controversies, Seunghan’s introduction highlights were also removed from the RIIZE’s official Instagram page.
Seunghan’s die-hard fans are always rooting for him. Many took the discussion on social media. One person wrote, “I hope he is surrounded by true friends and family who love him right now.” Another said, “This is such a ridiculous scandal. It’s one thing for his privacy to be leaked, but another for fans to be mad at him for his private life. Can no idol have a girlfriend even pre-debut?”
