Absolute Sword Sense Chapter 60 opens up with Woonhwi recalling an event from 12 years ago. 8-year-old Woonhwi couldn’t take the miracle medicine raw, so he had to take it as tea even though it reduced its efficiency.
Due to this miracle medicine, Woonhwi suffered from Qi blockage, and he eventually lost his energy core. Due to him losing his energy core, Woonhwi was abandoned by his family, and he suffered all his life because of it.

Woonhwi turns towards the guard kneeling before him and asks her once again if she is the true culprit or if she’s just trying to cover for Madam Yang. The Guard explains that she had served Madam Yang before she was even married, so she values her a lot. She further adds that she couldn’t stand Madam Yang being so anxious because of Woonhwi, so she did what was necessary.
The Guard further emphasizes that she was the only one responsible for everything, so only she should receive punishment, not Madam Yang. Yang stops the guard and announces that she is the one who did everything and that the guard is lying because of her loyalty. The Guard counters Yang, and they eventually get into an argument to decide who the real culprit is.
Woonhwi sits down and punches Yang to shut her up. He then tells both Yang and the Guard that even though he admires their friendship, it still doesn’t affect him much as he can’t just let them go after what they did to him. Yang gets furious at Woonhwi, and she threatens to stop him from entering the competition as a representative.
Woonhwi then hands over a medicine to Yang and orders her to eat it. He even makes it clear that the medicine contains poison, which means that Yang would probably die after eating it. Yang tries to refuse, but Woonhwi threatens to take the guard to the patriarch if Yang doesn’t eat the poison.
Yang warns Woonhwi that doing so would cause huge conflict in the family, which could lead to its destruction, but Woonhwi replies that he would be more than happy if that happens. In the end, Yang’s stubbornness fails in front of Woonhwi’s resilience, and she follows Woonhwi’s orders. Woonhwi then heads out to meet the Pavilion masters of the family.
Meanwhile, in the Yiyang’s Soh Clan Conference Room, Moonseok, Kihyung, and the other Pavilion Masters argue over Woonhwi’s request to represent the family in the competition. Looking at everyone’s harsh opinions about Woonhwi and his abilities, it is pretty evident that most of the Pavilion Masters hate him. To help speed up the decision-making process, Woonhwi himself arrives in the conference room.
Woonhwi gets rather upset after seeing that no one stands up to greet him, but as soon as everyone sees Woonhwi’s fierce gaze, 5 of the Pavilion masters immediately stand up. The upper three Pavillion masters still maintain their composure and stay silent.
The Grand Pavilion Master tells Woonhwi to leave, and the other Pavillion Masters support his order as Woonhwi can’t just barge into the conference room even if he’s the young master. Woonhwi just smiles and asks the Pavilion Master to shout at him the same way he used to do when he was a child. In a small flashback, it is shown that Woonhwi was treated harshly and thrown out of the conference hall when he was a kid.
Things are different now because Woonhwi is stronger and holds a powerful position. The Pavilion Master nervously smiles and apologizes for his actions. Woonhwi then asks his subordinates to close the door, and this move makes all the Pavilion Masters alert.
Woonhwi tells everyone that he doesn’t intend to talk about the competition. Instead, he wants to let all the Pavilion Masters choose a side. What this means is that if all the Pavilion Masters choose to side with Woonhwi, then he can overthrow the patriarch and become the young leader.
