Celece has been creating major problems for Callian ever since she first arrived. First, she devised a scheme to gradually weaken Callian by having her maid secretly slip small doses of poison into his tea every day. That is the reason why fans of the series are really excited to find out what is going to happen next time in the upcoming Reborn as the Enemy Prince Chapter 30.
Callian goal was to undermine his health and make him less capable as King so that her son Planche would have a better shot at taking the throne.
In addition, Celece was more than willing to directly obstruct and threaten Callian if that’s what it took to install Planche as the heir apparent and strengthen her family’s position. She felt confident that no one would stand up to her, given her powerful connections.
However, things changed when even the King himself openly confronted Celece about her treachery. It was remarkable to see public opinion and even Planche turn against Celece in light of the revelations. It will be interesting to see how the completely unhinged and relentless Celece responds to this backlash in future chapters.
Initially, Callian tried to reason with Celece to get her to call off her maid from poisoning his tea every morning. But given Celece’s psychotic personality and extreme ambition, there was little chance she would willingly back down or compromise. She remained arrogantly self-assured that no one could bring about her downfall.

It seems likely that Celece’s tremendous arrogance and overconfidence contributed to her current predicament. Even her own son Planche has now backed Callian’s claims of being in good health.
This essentially verifies that something nefarious must be behind the King’s worsening condition. With the evidence against her, Celece has landed herself in an extremely precarious situation with potentially perilous consequences.
To recap, Reborn as the Enemy Prince tells the tale of an MC who perishes in battle against an enemy kingdom, only to reawaken in the body of that kingdom’s prince 10 years prior.
Upon realizing the prince is fated to die soon, the MC resolves to escape that demise and reshape history.

In the last chapter, Callian attempts to negotiate with Celene to stop her daily poisoning of his tea. But the arrogant Celene refuses, fully confident that her power and connections protect her even if Callian tries anything.
So, Callian decides to take a huge risk. Before the royal banquet, he deliberately drinks the poisoned tea Celene sends him.
Then, once the guests arrive, the latent poison is triggered, and Callian dramatically coughs up blood before collapsing.

This public poisoning shocks everyone since harming a prince during a formal event is unthinkable. People start privately speculating that since Callian last consumed Celene’s tea, she must be behind it.
However, no one dares voice suspicions aloud for fear of losing Celene’s favor.
By forcing the poisoning issues into the limelight, Callian has set off a chain reaction beyond Celene’s control.
It remains to be seen how the cunning Celene attempts to deflect blame and whether Callian’s gambit pays off in the next chapter. But he is certainly wise not to underestimate his ruthless aunt.
