Dongfang Bubai has once again proven himself to be a wise old man in the body of a 20-year-old, and this showcase also increased his enemies. Due to the truth revealed by Dongfang, the plans for Guangyang have utterly failed, and he has been left humiliated, so it’s only natural that we would see him get his revenge in future updates.

Second Life Of Dongfang Bubai Chapter 19 opens up with the Fat Eunuch attacking Dongfang because he got offended by Dongfang’s request for more money. The Eunuch doesn’t know about Dongfang’s capabilities, so he obviously pays for it. Dongfang immediately uses reflective Qi Arts to counter the entire force of the Eunuch’s attack, and the counter almost breaks the Eunuch’s hand.

Dongfang follows up with a barrage of acupuncture attacks, which leave the Eunuch writhing in pain. The Eunuch wonders how a person who’s not even 20 years old knows about such sophisticated skills like reflective qi arts and acupuncture striking qi. He asks Dongfang to reveal his true identity, and Dongfang replies that this old man has seen way more battles than the number of times this Eunuch has had dinner.
Dongfang’s response makes the Eunuch wonder if this is some sort of rejuvenation technique. Dongfang attacks the Eunuch again, and so the Eunuch offers to pay him any amount in exchange for his life. Dongfang says that martial artists don’t desire money; they desire something else.
The Eunuch couldn’t understand Dongfang’s words, so he asked him to elaborate. Dongfang asks the Eunuch to bring the secret manual to him, or the Eunuch will die in 2 hours due to the acupuncture strikes. The Eunuch couldn’t understand what manual Dongfang wanted, so Dongfang explained that he wanted the sunflower manual.
The Eunuch doesn’t even hesitate and agrees to bring the sunflower manual to Dongfang in exchange for his life. Dongfang thinks that the sunflower manual is the only martial art that has vanished from his memory as if it never existed, and so he has to get it if he wants to regain his absolute power from the old days.
The Soldiers then arrive at Dongfang’s room to escort him to the hearing. The Focus shifts to the hearing room, where two old rivals have come face to face again. On one side is the left grand counselor Hu Weiyong while on the other is the right grand counselor Wang Guangyang.
Guangyang asks Weiyong if he wants to say anything before the arrival of the witness, but Weiyong refrains from speaking as he can’t be biased towards his offspring. Guangyang barely manages to contain his anger because he finally gets a chance to humiliate Weiyong by using his child, but he still fails because the Emperor decides to cover up this matter.
Guangyang thinks that he should still succeed in his plans because he has already bribed the witness. Dongfang, aka Lianhu, arrives in the court shortly after, and so the proceedings officially begin.
Guangyang orders Lianhu to tell everyone about the incident with Hu Buhai, the son of the elder left grand counselor. Guangyang intends to make Lianhu falsely admit to all the guilt, which would lead to an increased resentment towards Weiyong and lead to his slow and desperate downfall.
Guangyang’s plans fail in an instant when Lianhu starts speaking the truth instead of the lies Guangyang wants him to speak.
Guangyang slowly reveals the truth to everyone, and after he ends his statement, Weiyong immediately takes the initiative and resigns from his position to atone for his sins. Guangyang barely manages to hold back his anger, but there’s nothing he can do now. Weiyong has outsmarted Guangyang once again.
Lianhu also decides to leave because his work is done now, but Guangyang doesn’t intend to let him off the hook that easily because well, he did ruin his entire plan. Lianhu reached his room to finally get some rest after all the tiring proceedings when suddenly Eunuch showed up at his door.
Lianhu asks the Eunuch about the sunflower manual, but to his surprise, the Eunuch replies that there’s no book named “Sunflower Manual” in the entire secret room. Lianhu even beats up the Eunuch because he believes that he’s telling a lie, but the Eunuch still says the same thing. Lianhu couldn’t believe that the Sunflower manual wasn’t here.
