Changsun found out Zabec was Kali’s high priest in his previous life. He also harboured a desire for revenge. He remembered that this was also the case with Jean.
So he expected that kind of reaction. Changsun was wondering if Jean was planning to just be a spectator. Zabec bared his teeth at Jean, and he promised that he would make it so that you could never do that again.
Zabec was a household member that Jean resurrected. Zabec’s body had been borrowed for rebirth by redistributing his stats. So Changsun believed that there must be a limit to how much he could oppose Jean.
Changsun named him Elfin Root. He found out that Elfin Root had possessed the divinity of a dead god. The deity had Elfin Root as a high-ranking priest.

The deity’s divine status was quite high so Changsun was wondering how Elfin Root kept dying. He knew Elfin Root could talk, so he hoped that Elfin Root could speak loud and clear.
Elfin Root was confused as to why Changsun was curious about that. Changsun informed him because he could not gain more power.
As he did not have a specific patron, Elfin Root was surprised that he did not have a patron. Elfin Root realized that unless it was connected to the horoscope or Zi Wei Dou Shu, there was a chance of finding a new light on a path brimming with complete darkness before everything was crushed.
He mentioned the star, which was called Twilight of the gods. He fought several stars, including the IZ zodiacs. It was eventually put on the divine punishment trial and died.
While most of the stars agreed to bring him to the divine punishment trial, a few voted against it; one of them was none other than the patron he served, known as the goddess of slaughter and destruction.
