The Thore family’s Switzerland saga continues as they try to experience several new activities that were part of Glenn’s bucket list. While things are going well for the Thores, Whitney, in particular, seems to be having a tough time in her personal life due to loneliness.
TLC came out with a new season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life earlier this year and had very heartbreaking news to reveal. Babs, Whitney’s mother and Glenn’s wife had passed away, and Glenn was going through a tough time trying to cope with her death.
Whitney’s life was also in chaos, especially after her father revealed the crazy news that she might have a secret half-sibling that she hadn’t met before. Angie, who was Glenn’s child before he married Babs, was introduced this season.
There was hope that Glenn could move on from these sad feelings after meeting Angie, but seeing her father all gloomy every day, Whitney and her brother decided to complete Glenn’s bucket list together.
Recap
In recent episodes, we’ve seen Whitney attempt to throw a birthday party only for it to not live up to her dreamy expectations. Seeing that she has been alone for too long now, Whitney decides to give blind dates a chance and try her hand at romance once again.
Despite her efforts, Whitney’s Mr. Right is nowhere to be seen, and she loses all hope of ever finding someone who treats her right. Glenn is still dealing with Babs’s loss, and although he seems to be smiling a lot more after meeting Angie again, the grief is still there.
After catching Glenn at Bab’s grave, the Thore siblings decide it’s time that they finally give Glenn a chance to complete his bucket list. As exciting as it was, the list had a whole lot of crazy experiences, the first one being visiting a new place like Switzerland.
Hoping that it would give Glenn some joy again, Whitney, Angie, and the others packed up their bags and headed over to the freezing yet scenic lands of Switzerland.
Before doing so, Whitney makes sure she’s going to look pretty in all of the pictures and takes off her braces to reveal her now perfect teeth. As for Glenn, he has to visit an eye doctor before the trip, too.
The Swiss family vacation soon started with a bang, and things were looking good for the Thores. Whitney has always loved being the center of attention, but things get out of hand on the Swiss trip after she causes yet another dramatic situation.
Glenn and Whitney end up in a fight and later sort it out after a meaningful conversation. Jaime invites the Thores for a fun adventure in the Swiss Alps.
