Dorothea requested Charlotte and Allen to act like a couple to write her upcoming novel in the previous episode.

Charlotte decided to go on a walk with Lu in the morning, and Allen was counting on Lu to protect Charlotte. After the trip to the Yonoha region, Lu, a friend, joined Charlotte and Allen.
So Allen had less time to spend with Charlotte since she was always busy with Lu. Gosetsu had sensed that Allen was sulking for the same reason because Lu had taken Charlotte away from him.
Allen was wondering how long Gosetsu was going to stay with them. Gosetsu informed Allen he was always going to stay there since he was Charlotte’s family.
Allen did not like the idea of Gosetsu staying with them. Gosetsu told Allen not to act so cold because he knew Allen loved Charlotte as much as he loved her.
Allen was embarrassed and surprised after hearing that. He told Gosetsu that he only loved her as his family. Allen felt sad about not having much time with Charlotte, but he was happy that she had a goal.
Charlotte was aiming to become a magical creature tamer. On the night they came back from the Yunoha region, Charlotte told him she wanted to learn about becoming a magical creature tamer.
Allen was surprised that Charlotte had become so positive after their visit. When she came to his place, Charlotte always used to count the grains on the wooden floor for hours.
Allen decided to teach Charlotte everything about a tamer, starting with the basics. Charlotte was extremely grateful to Allen for his help, and ever since then, Charlotte has become very diligent.
She quickly learned everything from Allen and spent every night reviewing and previewing her study materials. Allen noticed that Charlotte was a brilliant student, and she was highly motivated to research things on her own.
Since Charlotte started studying to become a magical creature tamer, Allen has discovered a new side to her every day.

Allen realized that no one had been able to communicate with Fenris the way Charlotte mastered it. Lu was not getting along with Allen, and she tried to bite him many times.
Charlotte felt horrible, but Allen told her he believed that Lu had only built trust with Charlotte; that’s why he was hostile towards others.
Gosetsu told them Charlotte had reached a high level of beastly conversation. Charlotte knew about that since it was magic that automatically replaced the language of magical creatures they had bonded to with human language.
Allen was impressed that Charlotte had studied it thoroughly. Charlotte told Allen she had studied about it in one of the books she had been reading recently.
Charlotte was wondering why Gosetsu could communicate with them so easily. Allen was not sure about it either; his first guess was that Gosetsu was using some sort of spell to communicate with them.
Gosetsu informed the two of them that he had lived a long life, so he eventually learned the human language by himself.
Allen had never heard that beast conversation work on a fenir; he was wondering if it was too early for them to try it.
However, Charlotte wanted to try it, but she ended up draining her energy to talk to Lu. But she could not communicate with him.
Allen told Charlotte not to lose her heart because it was only natural for her to use that kind of spell. But all of a sudden, Lu started talking to Charlotte and showed his hostility towards Allen.
